Description
Looking for a quick and elegant dinner that’s bursting with flavor? This Blood Orange and Fig Balsamic Glazed Skillet Salmon is the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory. Blood oranges and rich fig balsamic glaze come together to create a caramelized crust on flaky salmon fillets. Ready in under 30 minutes, this dish is ideal for weeknights yet impressive enough for entertaining. Plus, the one-skillet method keeps things simple, making this a no-fuss recipe that doesn’t compromise on flavor.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Heat oven to 400 degrees and place 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet with salmon on top.
-
While the oven is heating make the glaze. In a small pan mix the rest of the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, blood orange juice, and honey. Stir to combine and let the mixture simmer for 3–5 minutes, allowing it to reduce and thicken into a glaze.
-
Place the cut-up figs and orange slices in the skillet on and surrounding the salmon and spoon the glaze over the salmon.
-
Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until salmon is cooked to your liking.
